A feminine variation on a homburg. Inspired by ladies hats of the 1940s, it pairs beautifully with jeans and a blazer (or with a vintage suit).
♦ CONTENT and CONSTRUCTION:
Gray fur felt blocked by hand on wood hat blocks.
The asymmetrical crown has an angled groove — so it’s not quite technically a homburg or a fedora or a bowler.
The upturned brim has been wired to keep its shape and bound in dark navy blue grosgrain ribbon.
The crown has a band of navy and beige grosgrain ribbons with a bow on the left side. The trim is sewn on using a special invisible stitching technique, so no stitches mar the inside. Unlined and with a grosgrain headsize ribbon and Silverhill Creative Millinery label.
♦ FIT: ♦
Best fits a head size of 22″-22.25″ (small to medium women’s head size). Alternatively, a larger head size could wear this tilted to the side for a more vintage style! (Hats in the 1940s were often smaller than head size.)
